BEWITCHED BY EVIL
The new monumental & cathartic journey into the abyss
Bewitched By Evil is the new conceptual suite divided into 5 dramatic movements.
Musically and lyrically, SONUM push the boundaries of Death Metal by blending the genre's characteristic aggression and technical complexity with avant-garde atmospheres, dissonant sounds, melodic openings, and cinematic interludes. The band even ventures into electronic music with a trip-hop-inspired outro.
The record explores the encounter between the "Self" and Evil, depicted not as a mere external force or folklore, but as a philosophical entity—a "fundamental law of the void"—and an inevitable, necessary inner transformation. The album recounts the dissolution of the Ego, the surrender of reason, and the ultimate acceptance of darkness as the true primary essence:
The Fracture of Perception: The loss of dogma and reason when facing the unknown.
The Annihilation of the Ego: The realization that human morality is a fragile shell.
The Metamorphosis: The transition from a "gyrovague" (a wandering pilgrim searching for the god of plague) to the incarnation of Evil itself ("I am the god of plague").
